When you're planning your travels for 2025, you need to make sure that Tuscany is at the top of your list. Tuscany is a land of many exciting things, from the world famous wines to the fabulous food. If you're looking for the best of Tuscany, then you need to know where the best things to do are. It will help you to really immerse yourself in the culture and in the location and that's exactly what you want to do to be able to relax your mind and body. If you have that appetite for adventure and you're looking to book your next trip, these five amazing things to do in Tuscany should help to convince you that Tuscany is where you need to go.
1. Wine Tasting Tour in Tuscany
First up, sign up for Tuscany wine tasting tours. Winemaking is a way of life in Italy. In the Tuscan culture, it's one of the essential elements due to the wonderful wineries and vineyards you'll find in the entire location. The central Italian region of Tuscany is famous for its red wines, including Brunello di Montagno, Chianti and Nobile di Montepulciano. Wine tasting is one of the top things to do in Tuscany, but going to visit the actual vineyards and having a wine tasting tour is something entirely different. Being able to learn all about how the grapes are grown and how they are transformed into amazing wines can give you that exclusive behind the scenes look you're missing out on.
2. Try a wine hotel!
Go to a wine hotel. Off the back of our previous exciting thing to do in Tuscany, try savouring a stay at a wine hotel. There are fantastic resorts out there that are a dream come true for oenophiles. Wine hotels are located on or they're adjacent to a vineyard, which means you can tie in your wine tour with the wine hotel.
3. Don't miss the towns!
Take a tour around the Gothic and medieval towns. The wine culture may be prevalent, but Tuscily is very well known for its historic cities and towns. Everywhere you look is the Gothic architecture of old, and located just an hour South of Florence is one of the most visited cities in Tuscany. Siena is a wonderful destination and if you want to go and visit somewhere truly old, then go and head over to Pisa. The opportunity to admire that leading to our up close is one that you shouldn't miss.
4. Eat!
Eat your way through Tuscany. We talked about wine tours, but we should also mention the food tours. Food is just as exciting as wine in Tuscany, and it’s common knowledge that Italy has some of the best food in the world. From the delicious dishes of Pappa Al Pomodoro to Crostini Toscani, you'll find many different dishes that you want to sink your teeth and your taste buds into.
5. Learn how to cook!
Take a cooking class. If you're going to eat your way through Tuscany, you should learn to cook your way through it too. Cooking classes are all the rage in Tuscany and you should be able to join a cooking class when you arrive. There are tutorials that are held in local homes which provide that authentic behind the scenes look at how to prepare traditional Italian food. If you do have the chance to discover a cooking class, then choose one of your favorite dishes to recreate so you'll know how to do it forever.
