My Chelsea - Green, Classy, Comfy hotel in London

London is one of the largest cities in Europe and it can be quite daunting to travel to, where do you even begin to start? With so much to do and with each area being so different it can be a challenge just deciding where to stay.

Luckily we're here to help, we love visiting London and work with different hotels every time we go.

This time, Tanbay visited his family and I took my mum for a ladies weekend in London.

We stayed at My Chelsea for two nights and this is what we thought:

Location

First things first, location, location, location. My Chelsea is located in, you guessed it, Chelsea - a very swanky part of London. But also a very central part of London - just 25 minutes walk from London Victoria and less than 10 minutes walk from the nearest tube.

But it's not just about the centrality of it, like I said, this place is swanky. Many who've been to London will tell you it's crowded, it's dirty, it's chaotic, it's loud.

They haven't been to Chelsea.

Chelsea is one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in London and you can really tell when you take a stroll round there: it's quiet, it's clean, it's well kept. There are also sports cars parked on every corner. Nice.

Room

Our room was great, really comfortable and pretty, and decorated so thoughtfully, it felt more like you were in your own bedroom than a clinical nameless hotel room.

The bed and shower were gigantic and everything had a really green feel to it - from the photos on the wall

To the eco-friendly soaps in the bathroom

Green-policy
Actually, it wasn't just the decor that was eco-friendly. My Hotels group is very eco-conscious, something that's very important to us. They even keep bee hives on the roof!

Breakfast

I was very impressed by the vegan-friendly options that were available at the buffet breakfast: toasts with jams and, my all time favourite: Marmite; fruits, juices, black coffee, cereals, porridge and soy milk! There was everything I expected and more.

For non-vegans there were even more options: eggs, cheeses, meats and (apparently) the best quiche ever!

Location
I've already mentioned how central My Chelsea is and how it's in a lovely area, I think it's also worth mentioning the cool things to do nearby:

Saatchi Gallery

Less than 10 minutes walk away is the Saatchi Gallery - the art work here is inspiring, at the moment there is a selfie exhibition!

Food

There are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby - we pigged out on Lebanese food and Indian, but if you're not in the mood for eating out, there are a couple of Sainsburys dotted about too.

And if you are in the mood for something out of this world and right on your doorstop, try Tanya's cafe: everything is plant based and organic!

Conclusion
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at My Chelsea, we loved how eco-friendly they are and the great breakfast they offer. We also absolutely loved the location - how central it was and how nice the area was.

To book your own stay, head on over to their website or find them on price-checker Agoda.
